Russell and Lillian Hoban
A hint to booksellers around the holidays is to overprice vintage children’s books rather than under price. Books tend to sell for more during the holidays. This is true also for the classic Christmas books. Ordinarily these books don’t sell for as much as I have recently sold them for but during Christmas I sell them for $10-$20 regularly. The Mole Family”s Christmas holds the best value year round out of the two first titles.
The Mole Family’s Christmas
Russel Hoban and Lillian Hoban. Published in 1971 by Parents’ Magazine Press. This book is another classic by the Hoban’s and snatched up pretty quickly. Another easily found book which should be listed at around $8 or so. It was the inspiration for Jim Henson’s Muppets Jug Band Christmas series.
